About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Production Scheduler at Siemens Energy – Vanes & Blades Tampa, you will focus on planning and coordinating production schedules of multiple manufacturing areas in the facility to implement most efficient and effective operational flow to ensure castings are delivered on time and satisfying customer demands!
Specifically, Production Scheduler will be working closely with Master Scheduler to stablish daily targets for multiple production areas taking in consideration lean principles, monthly delivery dates and material inventory available. Additionally, scheduler will actively collaborate with Production Supervisor and Team Leads to identify and eliminate bottlenecks and other potential limitations that could affect flow thru production areas!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Production Scheduling & Order Management: Create and manage production orders in SAP based on Core/Wax schedules; maintain daily targets and collaborate with the Master Scheduler to develop accurate, demand-driven schedules.
- Order Review & System Accuracy: Review open production orders weekly, close out completed/excess orders in SAP, and ensure scheduling and accounting accuracy through effective obsolescence management.
- Customer Order Fulfillment: Receive, approve, and update production orders to align with customer promise dates; send EDI transmissions and process outbound deliveries while resolving discrepancies in SAP and S-Portal.
- Reporting & Communication: Maintain Commercial Tracker and production boards to provide clear program status updates and weekly sales estimates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement & Risk Mitigation: Measure and improve schedule adherence, cycle time, and inventory; identify manufacturing risks and opportunities that impact cost or delivery timelines.
- Capacity Planning & Inventory Control: Analyze site capacity and bottlenecks to recommend corrective actions; estimate alloy requirements and manage excess or aging inventory.
What You Bring
- Associate's degree with at least 5 years of proven experience in scheduling or materials planning within a manufacturing environment. (A high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of an Associate's degree.)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; highly resourceful, self-directed, and effective at prioritizing tasks under minimal direction.
- Strong background in MRP systems and component manufacturing processes, with expertise in SAP and advanced Excel skills; experienced in applying quality systems, Six Sigma, and lean principles to solve complex problems and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences; highly team-oriented and customer-focused, with strong interpersonal skills that support cross-functional teamwork.
