Join us as a Grid Technologies EQHS Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Substations unit in Portugal! You will lead the charge in developing and implementing effective EHSQ strategies, ensuring robust safety and quality oversight across all projects. Imagine driving continuous improvement initiatives while managing a dedicated team of EHSQ professionals. You will oversee compliance with regulations and standards, making a significant impact on our operations and fostering a proactive safety culture. Your leadership will be essential in guiding our mission to achieve excellence in environmental, health, safety, and quality management.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will develop, implement, and maintain local EHSQ strategies, policies, and programs aligned with Siemens Energy’s objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for EHSQ processes and performance across all substation projects and operations in Portugal.
- Manage the EHSQ budget, ensuring effective resource allocation to support program goals and strategic priorities.
- Oversee the EHSQ management system (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001) to ensure its effectiveness, maintenance, and certification.
- Lead and mentor a team of EHSQ professionals, promoting a proactive safety culture through visible leadership and effective communication.
What You Bring
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- You possess extensive experience in an EHSQ role, with proven leadership capabilities in managing teams.
- You have certifications such as Técnico Superior de Segurança no Trabalho (TSST) - Portugal CAP Level VI, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or equivalent.
- Your expertise includes in-depth knowledge of EHSQ regulations and experience with management systems like ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- You demonstrate strong analytical and investigative abilities, including skills in root cause analysis and report writing.

You will be part of a dynamic and dedicated EHSQ team focused on ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality within the Substations unit. This team is committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration, working closely with various project sites and office locations. Together, you will drive initiatives that not only meet regulatory requirements but also enhance operational excellence.
