Are you ready to step into the dynamic world of Power Transmission with Siemens Energy? We're on the lookout for passionate individuals to join our team as Project Leads in the exciting realm of Grid Technologies.
The Grid Project Lead Program is a 12-month program starting July 1st, 2026 with several rotations, classroom and virtual training plus on-the-job training to familiarize you with the necessary technical skills in the field of HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) and the SE processes.

Application Process

1. Recruiter Interview: Conducted via video call, this initial interview assesses your background, skills, and motivations, and provides information about the role and company.
2. Assessment Center (10th and 11th February 2026 at the Siemens Campus in Erlangen): Candidates who pass the recruiter interview will participate in group exercises, case studies, and presentations to evaluate skills, competencies, and teamwork.
3. Personal Interview: Successful candidates from the assessment center will have an in-depth interview with a panel, focusing on experience, technical skills, and cultural fit.
4. Decision: The hiring team reviews all gathered information and makes a final decision. Successful candidates will receive an offer.
 

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Support customers with transitioning to a more sustainable world and work on real global issues, creating solutions that directly make a difference 
  • Work closely together with our various project teams in different implementation phases of HVDC Solution projects and get detailed insights into all aspects of project management
  • Help our project teams to achieve their targets regarding a timely delivery, high quality, and customer satisfaction
What You Bring
  • A university degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering sciences or related fields 
  • Multiple years of relevant project management experience and accumulated skills in dealing with a customer  
  • First practical work experience most likely in instrumentation and control business
  • Exceptional leadership skills for guiding an intercultural team on various locations as well as strong presentation skills and willingness towards new and exciting challenges, countries, and cultures
  • Passion for project work combined with an ability to develop positive relationships and win trust
  • Fluent in speaking and writing both German and English, to work in a multi-cultural environment and be flexible and mobile during the program 
What You Can Expect 

Over the rotational course of 12 months, you’ll get hands-on experience, be actively integrated into the day-to-day activities of your team and gain a deep understanding of Siemens Energy Grid Technology. You'll rapidly build in-depth knowledge, discover solutions, and experience our business first-hand. 
From day one, you will work on individually designed assignments, including the opportunity for an international assignment! 
You'll be paired with a dedicated mentor who will guide you through immersive experiences, allowing you to shadow various roles and positions. This support system is designed to empower you to achieve your unique career goals while fostering significant connections with peers and influential business leaders. Additionally, you'll gain access to a wealth of resources geared towards cultivating your professional growth. 
As a Project Manager in the field of HVDC at Siemens Energy, you will be an integral part of our decarbonization mission by ensuring that your teams complete all projects on time and within budget. Additionally, you will join our Project Management team, helping with the implementation of exciting and complex international HVDC solution projects. Your work will cover the entire range of areas within our teams' daily business. We convert customer inquiries from the planning phase including design engineering, supply chain & testing in our test lab as well as to the final handover of the EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) HVDC projects.
