Snapshot of Your Day:

We are looking for an Engineering Bid Project Manager in Houston, TX to identify and understand customers’ requirements and develop technical solutions based on the product portfolio.

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Involved in early development phases, analysis of customer requests, and leading technical discussions along contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate the technical proposal and costs.
  • Responsible for running preliminary thermodynamic calculations in order to select the right size Steam Turbine for the project.
  • Validate and endorse the technical aspects of the solution offered in the bid.
  • Responsible for selling technical products, services, installations, and configurations to assign customers for specific technical products and applications of products.
  • Provide technical interface between customer and company engineering, manufacturing and program management representatives.
  • Carry out research on customer technical specifications and requirements with current or potential technical specifications of company products.
  • Prepare and conduct technical sales briefings for customers and company representatives.
  • Develop potential technical specifications, pricing considerations and contract requirements.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and investigate new applications or improvements to products with customers.
  • 30% domestic travel required.
  • Telecommuting permitted.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience.
  • Full term of experience must include: rotational machinery understanding;
  • advanced understanding of thermodynamics;
  • knowledge of US standards such as API and ASME;
  • energy related products and technologies such as steam turbines, combined cycle and cogen plants; and
  • use of thermodynamic-based tools such as TRUCA or equivalent technical proficiency with other engineering tools.
  • 30% domestic travel required.
  • Telecommuting permitted.
