A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
The Commercial Sales Business Administrator (BA) is the strategic financial and commercial partner to our Sales teams across the Americas, with strong emphasis on LATAM countries. In this role, you will lead all commercial and financial aspects of the sales and bid process—crafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms and conditions in close collaboration with the Sales teams. You will also play a key role in local Sales operations, including managing quarterly and annual incentive calculations. Your responsibilities also span financial reporting, cost transparency, and cross country coordination, ensuring alignment between factories, Sales teams, and stakeholders to strengthen our market position and drive sustainable, profitable growth.
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
- Handle all commercial aspects of the bid, including contract analysis, cost calculation, financing concepts (currency, hedging, payment terms, etc.), R&O, compliance, etc.
- Prepare and present the Limits of Authority (LoA) according to the required protocol, acting as a sparring partner for regions and bid team members, and ensuring correctness of relevant approvals in accordance with actual negotiations
- Collaborate with Sales teams across NA and LATAM to evaluate commercial proposals and assess financial risks.
- Ensure commercial agreements comply with Siemens Energy financial policies and risk frameworks.
- Provide financial insights, recommendations, and support to the Head of Commercial Sales and other senior leaders, while serving as first point of contact for customer, country, and organizational dispute resolution.
- Facilitate and administer the North America local sales incentive process which requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
What You Bring (requirements)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is Required, Fluency in Portuguese is a bonus.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial finance, business administration, project controlling, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Analytical thinking, result and quality-oriented approach, solid professional judgment and problem-solving ability are required competencies
- Experience working in multinational environments with in-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools (SAP and Salesforce).
- Ability to travel up to 20% within assigned regions.
- Knowledge in business analytics tools (Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau or similar) as well as experience and curiosity about leveraging Artificial Intelligence to address business needs is considered a plus
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
