A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

Our steadily growing High-Voltage Substation group based out of Raleigh, NC (USA) is looking for a highly driven, self-motivated, and solution oriented Commercial Project Manager who will be responsible for the successful financial controlling and reporting of construction projects!

You will work together with our project management organization with the main objective of executing the projects according to our contractual obligations, project management, and financial reporting standards!

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Take full responsibility for all financial aspects of projects, including accounting, legal, tax, and foreign currencies, and ensure compliance with IFRS15, local GAAP, and internal controls.
  • Manage and optimize financial performance, including accurate forecasting of revenue, profit margins, and cash flow on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure proper revenue recognition, contractual invoicing, and accurate cost/pricing calculations, maintaining project records in systems like SAP and iTWO PM Imp@ct.
  • Prepare commercial documentation for project status meetings and ensure the accuracy of commercial project data throughout execution.
  • Manage financial guarantees, bonds, and project securities, and support the Project Manager in minimizing non-conformance costs and assessing risks & opportunities.
  • Contribute to organizational improvements by implementing lessons learned and supporting tender accuracy through early involvement in projects.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a relevant finance field, with strong expertise in GAAP and IFRS.
  • CPA, PMP, or other project management certifications are advantageous; experience in construction projects is a plus.
  • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and strong analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication and multitasking skills, with a solution- and detail oriented approach.
  • Ability to read and apply contractual terms and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and customer relationship-building skills.
