A Snapshot of Your Day
As Assistant District Service Manager, you will ensure business continuity for the Entergy Nuclear (NPT) district. This position is critical for providing expert-level, on-site technical services and maintaining strong customer relationships within the highly regulated nuclear power sector. You will apply broad knowledge in the commercial and technical service management of turbine and generator equipment. You will manage resource coordination for work scopes in the assigned area, including customer and Field Service support for the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and modification of equipment and systems.
This position reports directly to the District Service Manager for Field Service and serves as a key point of contact for internal and external customers. The Assistant District Service Manager supports the District Service Manager and platform team in maintaining customer relationships, addressing customer needs, and resolving complex problems through effective problem-solving skills.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Support customer interface within the district. Manage non-conformance costs and identify technical and commercial risks and opportunities. Supports the performance of on-site technical and operational support in the design, development, installation and maintenance of equipment and systems of a complex nature.
- Supports district’s financial Profit & Loss and required reporting. Works with internal and external customers to develop complex maintenance plans.
- Completes the planning and estimating to develop complex proposals. Performs the review of complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics and provides continual guidance throughout task duration.
- Lead the collaboration of the platform team including LTP, Sales, Warranty, and parts to provide “best-in-class” customer service. Manage the district engineers and support staff ranging in size from 5 to 15 people.
- Facilitate District employee development training plans. Collaborate with other departments to continuously improve Siemens Energy products and service.
- Communicate key technical, commercial and customer issues upward to District Management.
What You Bring
- BS/BA in a business-related field or engineering or equivalent relevant experience, 8+ years of experience in generation service.
- Must have experience in general maintenance of large gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and associated equipment.
- Experience working with union & non-union labor is required.
- Experience with Primavera and/or Microsoft Project scheduling software, SAP, and Excel is a must. Must have experience developing and managing Financial Budgets.
- Required to travel up to 25%.
- Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
