A Snapshot of Your Day
Workshop Supervisor activity to lead and manage team of hourly employee on work assignment at floor coaching and mentoring team members to grow with assigned work experience, manage productivity hours of team to insure product movement and schedule requirement. He should also to develop and maintenance of corporate welding procedure (WPS) and welder performance qualification record (WPQRs).
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead, Manage and direct a team of hourly employees on work assignments.
- Coaching and mentoring team members to grow with assigned work experiences.
- Execute jobs priorities with the planning and technical support team.
- Identify issues with product flow and resolve with the assistance of the technical support team.
- Manage Productivity of the hourly team to ensure product movement and schedule requirements.
- Support with development and maintenance of corporate welding procedures (WPS) and welder performance qualification records (WPQRs).
- Provide support for documentation of welding results, subcontractor welder performance testing and certification.
- Manage and maintain working condition of welding equipment in the workshop facility including standard and customized machine welding system, fixtures, consumables and PPE including but not limited to testing, small repair and general maintenance.
- ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) / K3 responsibilities:
- Comply with and implement the company's OHS policies.
- Making hazard identification in the work area and complying with K3 rules applied by the company.
- ISO 14001 / environment responsibilities:
- Implement environmental policies according to ISO 14001.
- Make identification of aspects and impacts in the work environment.
- Comply with and carry out environmental policy procedures implemented by the company.
- Dispose of waste in designated places according to ISO 14001 regulations.
What You Bring
- Five or more years of manufacturing or service experience.
- Associate’s degree or eight or more years of relevant work experience.
- Supervisory experience in a repair or heavy Manufacturing or related field.
- Knowledge and experience with mentoring and motivating team members.
- Knowledge of welding, machining and NDE techniques.
- Ability to interpret complex work instructions and processes.
- Polytechnic/ vocational training in Welding Technology and experience in practical application as a licensed Welder in accordance with international standards.
- Certified IIW Welding specialist (IWS)/ technician (IWT)/ - Workscope acc. DIN EN ISO 14731
- Extensive knowledge (theoretical/ practical) in welding process 111/141/135
- Knowledge of typical standards and regulations (e.g., AD 2000/ DIN EN 13480/ DIN EN ISO 3834/ etc.) and application
- Ability to identify correct selection of welding equipment, consumables, and gas mixtures acc. instructions.
- Attention to detail/multitasking.
- Execution of production orders.
- Managing department and job costs.
- Focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Record keeping of tests and changes for qualifications and approval process.
