Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC, United States is searching for an ambitious Weekend Night- Welder to join our world-class team. Your profile

  • Must have a high school diploma and 1-3 years of industrial welding assembly experience or formal training.
  • Pass the following welding qualification tests: Inconel GMAW 6G Butt Joint Open Root to the ISO standard.
  • Ability to acquire a forklift and crane license, with previous experience preferred.
  • Capable of using basic shop math and precision measuring equipment.
  • Pass standard hearing, vision, and PFT tests.
  • Embrace Safety & Quality Culture, and be able to lift/move 50 lbs of materials.

Your responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of layout, fitting, and welding tasks required to restore service-ran combustion components to engineered specifications.
  • Cold work and form components to meet strict tolerance requirements.
  • Apply hand tools, grinders, burrs, and other equipment to recondition surfaces to detailed specifications.
  • Interpret detailed drawings, sketches, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications to determine necessary tools and machining operations.
  • Use material handling devices such as jib cranes, bridge cranes, and forklifts to load/unload parts from machines or assist crane operators.
  • Operate machinery and equipment according to Siemens' procedures to ensure flawless process operations and meet drawing specifications.
