A Snapshot of Your Day

You’ll drive Vertex-Rollout within our TaxIntelligence team for Function Taxes in Siemens Energy. In a typical day, you would be in touch with key stakeholders to understand requirements, brainstorm solutions with colleagues, discuss implementation with developers as well as strategize roadmaps to enhance existing configurations and introduce new approaches.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• ·         Manage and maintain the VERTEX tax engine and its integration within SAP systems.
• ·         Ensure accurate tax determination and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• ·         Provide technical support and troubleshooting for VERTEX-related issues.
• ·         Collaborate with IT and tax teams to optimize tax processes and systems.
• ·         Support within digital projects.

What You Bring

• ·         Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
• ·         2-5 years of experience with VERTEX tax engine implementation and/or maintenance, preferably in the tax or finance industry, including providing training and support to end-users and experience in project management.
• ·         Proficiency with Vertex tax engine software and its integration with ERP systems, including familiarity with data integration, ETL processes, and SAP, with a good understanding of VAT tax determination and reporting processes.
• ·         VERTEX certifications from VERTEX Academy are a plus, along with a solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance reporting.
• ·         Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach.
• ·         Excellent communication skills and command of English, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
