A Snapshot of your day

You are responsible for the planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction projects on-site ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with project manager, site managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, monitor progress, identifying potential issues, and implementing solutions to keep projects on track. Additionally, you require expertise in contract administration, claims management and cost control to manage project finances effectively.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and maintain schedules, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site manager, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines.
  • Monitor construction progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or delays.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to project stakeholders.
  • Participates in progress, construction and HSE meetings/walkdowns
  • Support the project manager, site manager with regards to letters towards the sub-supplier, sub-contractor, and any other stakeholders with relevant site work progress information.
  • Writes proactive and regularly correspondence drafts highlighting all significant and relevant events about EPC activities possibly impacting the overall time schedule and/or equipment and material safety.
  • Conduct contract analysis and interpretation of legal terms and conditions, ensuring compliance, claims negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project risks.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment and tracking shipment/material arrivals
  • Ensure that the project equipment and materials are stored and preserved appropriately to prevent damage, deterioration, or loss and report any improper condition.
  • Prepare and submit Site observation reports and damage reports.

What You Bring / Skills, Capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or construction management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in site planning engineer within large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of contract administration, including familiarity with legal and contractual guidelines related to construction projects.
  • Experienced in claims negotiation and dispute resolution
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic is mandatory.
  • Saudi nationals are preferred. 

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily based on construction sites (the project sites are close to Madinah, Buraydah and Rabigh).
  • The role will require travel to various project locations.
  • The role will require dealing with multinational work force from different cultural background.
