A Snapshot of Your Day

Our Technician for Quality Inspection to perform dimensional and NDT inspection on a variety of parts to meet drawing, specifications, written and verbal instructions.

  • Dimensional and NDT inspection prior to releasing components for customer. Utilize inspection to keep rejected components from reaching the end customer.
  • Accountable for quality check of components and making decision on the acceptance or rejection of a component.
  • Level I Quality Technician directly reports to the Shop Manager and is the last line of quality verification of all products from suppliers and manufacturing.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Verifying dimensional tolerances to prints using calibrated gages and instruments.
  • Verify material certs and matching with material after receiving, prior to machining and prior to shipping.
  • Identifying nonconformance and completing NC’s in local database.
  • Wet and Dry Magnetic particle testing of components and completing reports with all required information.
  • Liquid Penetrant Testing of components and completing reports with all required information.
  • Communicating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales on a daily basis to meet shipping needs, issues or improvements.
  • Support and backup other members in the Quality Department, by learning gage calibration, ITP’s, creation of Document Packages and Inspection Reports.
  • Utilize current MRP system to complete part transactions, in order to continue the process of a part.
  • Perform Quality Audits on procedures from suppliers and internal customers.
  • Contribute to creation and completion of Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Actions and Quality Improvements.

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be certified as Level I NDT (non-descructive testing) in PT and MT
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Use of multiple types of gages, read drawings and knowledge of ASME/ANSI.
  • Ability to perform & run tests with limited supervision on 2nd shift.
  • Ability to work various work hours, including overtime and second shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM M-F)
  • Follow verbal and written instructions
