A Snapshot of Your Day
As a team leader, you will be responsible for the field service engineers who perform both scheduled and corrective maintenance at customer sites.
In this role, you will also lead and plan the group's activities in close collaboration with the other managers in field service and the planning function. This includes coordinating the deployment of engineers to various international locations, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. You will be encouraged to manage resources, supervise project timelines, and maintain strong communication with clients to ensure their needs are met. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing the skills and capabilities of your team, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Reporting directly to the Head of Onshore Field Service within your sub-region
- Managing FS headcount within your organization
- Establishing positive relationships and communication with respective PCCs within the FS global organization
- Maintaining good communication with the project management organization
- Ensuring efficient FS team setup based on short-term and long-term planning for both planned and unplanned outages
- Recruiting the required FS headcount within the regional need
- Optimizing headcount regionalization versus applying PCC headcount for outage execution
- Improving current headcount by cross-training Field Service Engineers and Technicians
- Coordinating necessary trainings and keeping track of PCC certifications
- Localizing headcount certification optimization
- Mentoring and developing the local FS team, achieving high levels of team happiness and employee retention
- Ensuring utilization, timelines, and quality targets are met for all FS activities
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements related to the activity of field staff
- Assuming EHS responsibility for the FS team and their activities at customer sites
- Effectively managing the regional tooling center
- Supporting our digitalization efforts by adopting strategic projects like Primavera/SF FS Lightning, Polaris (SAP FSM or SF FS Lightning), OnePM, and CPQ
- Encouraging a culture of transparency, entrepreneurship, inclusiveness, and acting as a change agent for your teams
What you bring
- Outstanding teammate with excellent leadership abilities and outstanding communication skills
- Capability to apply these skills at all company levels within your organization
- Good understanding of our company organization, including head offices and regions
- 5+ years of personal (preferably hands-on) experience in Field Service
- Experience in managing a team of 5+ people
- Proven project management skills
- Proficiency in English
- Strong analytical skills, understanding of turnkey project setups, and comprehension of various implementation concepts
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience, will be considered

About the Team
In Europe and Africa, the Field Service & Tooling organization relies on the 'Onshore Field Service' team to drive and staff projects involving GS D, GS C, and TI CP products within the subregion. We may also offer support outside the subregion on occasion.
Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines, and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
