A Snapshot of Your Day

Acts as company technical and administrative representative, resident engineer, and deal with customer service assignment including on-site or remote, preventive maintenance and inspection service work, call-out services and commissioning activities on aeroderivative Gas Turbines product lines and packages, specifically LM2500 units, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded and all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company policy, manufacturer's recommendations, and good practices

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Acts as company technical and administrative representative, resident engineer, and deal with customer service assignment including on-site or remote, preventive maintenance and inspection service work, call-out services and commissioning activities on packages, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded and all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company policy, manufacturer's recommendations, and good practices.
  • Understands and aligns with Siemens and customer Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures. Ensures the work permit system is followed. Ensures safe site and practices. Participate by attending general safety and toolbox safety meetings. Suggests safety improvements.
  • Recognizes abnormal sounds vibrations and potential safety problems at inception and take appropriate action to prevent a serious safety hazard that could develop to equipment damage or loss of production. Provides timely and daily reports to the relevant manager on ongoing projects or daily work. Stays ahead of pending work and personnel required to complete the projects. Ensure that vital parts are available and submit materials requisitions when required.
  • Provides accurate feedback and communication to pre-planned report format. Keep and update all equipment histories to successfully forecast equipment utilization and efficiency. Coordinates any changes vital to ensure operations are efficient and minimal downtime is required. Ensures effective communication and reporting to immediate supervision and, if applicable, to customer representatives.
  • Applies good judgment when analyzing problems. Solves problems with little or no supervision and at a nominal cost. Master’s all procedures and available options of identifying sources of information and technical advice. Works towards having product knowledge to repair and adjust minor mechanical/electrical components/systems and capable of reading applicable drawings and technical manuals
  • Develops adequate strategies of engaging operations in releasing equipment in a timely manner for maintenance. Will be, required to assist in a technical manner with the operations and maintenance crew in any area if the workload exceeds the number of personnel available.

What You Bring

  • Must possess experience in recognized as a controls engineer with mechanical systems expertise, particularly in LM2500 operations and engine maintenance. LM2500 Power Turbine knowledge and overhauls skills are desirable and will be considered a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical or Control Systems Engineering or related field is required,
  • Will have 10 years and above working experience in a related industry. Higher experience/skill levels may balance lower academic qualifications, and vice-versa.
  • Experience in an onshore/offshore environment.
  • Strong rotating equipment background and familiarity with aeroderivative Gas Turbines theory, packages systems, and operation.
  • Must have extended knowledge of methods and experience in the categories of scheduled maintenances on the products and various equipment associated with primary package.
