A Snapshot of Your Day
The Data Steward (f/m/d) will be responsible for managing and overseeing the data assets of Siemens Energy, Steam Turbines and Generators to ensure data quality, integrity, and security. This role involves collaborating with various departments across the value chain to establish data governance policies, maintain data standards, and support data-related projects.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Identification, structuring, and categorization of Siemens Energy's data assets for Steam Turbines and Generators
- Showcasing the value of data assets for SE customers and internal decision-making or process improvements
- Development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity across all data sources
- Creation of transparency and monitoring of data usage and compliance throughout the product lifecycle
- Collaboration with IT and business teams to define data requirements and standards, and support data integration and migration projects
- Conducting data audits, quality assessments, and resolving data-related issues and discrepancies
- Maintenance of comprehensive documentation of data-related processes, standards, and guidelines, and generation of regular reports on data quality metrics with insights for continuous improvement
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Over 5 years of experience in data management, data engineering, data governance, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices
- Proficiency in data management tools and software
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, commitment to data accuracy, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with Snowflake as a data cloud provider is a plus
