A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be the driver of change and improvements within the engineering department in Brno. You will work very closely with a team based in Erlangen, Germany, manage small local team of engineers, as well as collaborating with other company-wide teams (Purchasing, Proposal, PM, Quality, Logistics and others).

You can expect close collaboration with the project management team on timeline alignment, order execution progress, and responsibility to ensure that any major changes in customer requirements/ additional requests are being properly documented and its impact is being communicated to relevant personnel. You will also lead a small team of engineers (3 to 6 people). 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead the standardisation of processes in proposal/ order execution phases
  • Responsible for costs determination - costs for components, engineering services, emergency costing forecast, technical specification
  • Spearhead optimisation activities, implement Lessons learned
  • Overall coordination of engineering colleagues (attendance at Kickoff, supervising activity planning and completion), managing a team of 3 - 6 engineers
  • Active support of proposals with deviations of complicated contracts to mitigate risks (e.g. information to be provided by customer during execution at defined dates, number of revisions, technical design freeze dates...)
  • Maintain relationships with sub-suppliers for outsourced projects

What You Bring

  • Completed university degree in a technical field
  • Shown experience within extended scope (from proposal or implementation phase)
  • Fluent in English and Czech/ Slovak
  • Open and communicative personality of a team-player, with ability to stay calm and effectively prioritise
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
