Snapshot of your Day
As the Mechanical System Engineer, you will be responsible for creating technical specification and requirements according to Siemens Energy design standards, fulfill the task and target set by the company, resolve any problems which may have happened in the manufacturing process and provide technical support and trouble shooting.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparation of RFQ documents, checking the technical vendor bids with clarifications, technical vender negotiations incl. risk assessment and commercial selection support for, Air Intake system, Exhaust Gas system, Noise Enclosures and Fire Protection system.
- Checking vendor design and documentation. Supporting the detailed design by vendors, including erection drawings, detail drawings, O&M manuals.
- Support purchasing department regarding technical issues.
- Coordination with Lead Engineer, Client, Purchasing, Vendors, Engineering departments and Project Management support. Support Lead Engineer with technical knowledge and prepare technical statements for customer.
- Ensuring alignment of the vendors solution with requirements specification, customer needs & interface partners.
- Preparation and on time delivery of technical documents prepared by engineering to customer (e.g. P&ID, functional system description, technical concepts, …)
- Responsibility for project engineering budget and quality (engineering documents, vendor design)
- Provide workshop inspections in relevant cases, field/site support, if required, and support during installation, commissioning and warranty.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree and above in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years related technical experience.
- Detailed knowledge of auxiliary mechanical systems of a gas turbine, such as air intake, acoustic enclosure, ventilation, firefighting.
- Capability to handle cross-functional and cross-product line initiatives, domestically and internationally.
- Ability to work as part of a larger global engineering team in a collaborative manner.
- Good skills in 2D/3D design tools such as AutoCAD, NX, Bentley or similar, ANSYS is a plus.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form and to interface within a wide range of organizations both internally and externally.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
