A Snapshot of Your Day

As the product strategy owner for single shaft compressors, you have a vision for the compression business of the future. You structure and drive the analysis required to facilitate decisions on essential portfolio, go-to-market, and execution models for our entire single shaft compressor product portfolio. Using this analysis you derive and drive a product strategy that delivers on long term business objectives. You report to the Head of Business Strategy for Compression, work closely with engineering, sales, execution and service teams, and are ideally located at one of our main Compression sites: Duisburg/Germany, Houston/Texas, Painted Post/New York, Naroda/India or Pune/India.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Ensuring that Siemens Energy’s compression strategy is based on the latest data and historical experience.
  • Conducting detailed market and competitive analyses to gain insights for future planning and potential business prospects.
  • Developing the portfolio for new unit and services in addition to the go-to-market strategy and execution models for each region.
  • Leading strategic compression projects in complex environments to drive impactful decisions and you monitor progress on key transformation initiatives and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Driving strategic focus around building reference projects in energy transition.
  • The consistent quality of your output and communications will build trust across the organization, enhancing your impact and creating organization awareness.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an engineering-related field.
  • Longterm experience of rotating equipment: preferably with 5 years’ single shaft compressor product experience. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
  • Strong leadership abilities that inspire action and unites teams around a strategic vision, driven by a desire to make a significant impact.
  • Excellent at communicating complex ideas and have a proven ability to lead multi-national teams through challenging projects.
  • Possesses a highly structured and organized thought process with the proven ability to convert undefined strategic problems into tangible action plans.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong sense of initiative and accountability, as well as the ability and willingness to travel globally (approx. 10%) to connect with teams and customers.

Our Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector. Increasing electrification and efficiency are key and demand for green H2 and derivative fuels will rise. This job may be based in Olean or Painted Post, New York. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay. The base salary range for this position in Olean or Painted Post, New York is $77,200-$184,700 and the annual incentive target is 10-20% of base salary.

Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
