A Snapshot of Your Day

Our STG Organization is looking for a highly driven, self-motivated Commercial Project Manager to join our team of CPMs in the New Units Business. In this role, you will be responsible for all commercial aspects and project financials (controlling, reporting, and forecasting). You will work together with our project management organization with the key objective of executing the projects according to our contractual obligations, project management standards, and applicable financial guidelines.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Work in collaboration with the project managers to complete assigned projects according to defined guidelines and contractual agreements.
  • Responsible for project financials including monthly revenue recognition, financial planning, risk and opportunity management, and optimizing profit margins & cash flow.
  • Ensure achievement of contract requirements (e.g. performance guarantees, insurance, taxes, contractual, etc.).
  • Full responsibility for all finance-related project topics, including but not limited to handling Accounting, Legal, Tax, Foreign Exchange, and NCM.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to various levels of management.
  • Special assignments and interaction with internal partners and external auditors as required.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/ business administration/ accounting or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Business Administration or in Finance, preferably with experience in Project Management; candidates with more years of experience may be eligible for a higher-level position.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS, percentage of completion (PoC) accounting, and strong skills with Microsoft Office applications are required, and SAP experience is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Travel up to 15% is required; must have the ability to acquire a passport.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
