A Snapshot of Your Day

The Workshop Supervisor leads and manages a team of employees on the production floor, assigning tasks and providing coaching and mentorship to foster their professional growth. This includes managing team productivity and work hours to ensure efficient product flow and adherence to production schedules. The Supervisor also develops and maintains corporate welding procedures (WPS) and oversees welder performance qualification records (WPQRs).

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, handle, and mentor a team of hourly employees on work assignments, fostering their growth and development.
  • Production Planning & Execution: Collaborate with planning and technical support teams to prioritize and execute job assignments, resolving product flow issues as needed.
  • Productivity & Scheduling Management: Oversee team productivity to ensure efficient product movement and adherence to production schedules.
  • Welding Procedure & Qualification Support: Contribute to the development and maintenance of welding procedures (WPS) and welder performance qualification records (WPQR).
  • Welding Documentation & Subcontractor Oversight: Support the documentation of welding results and be responsible for subcontractor welder performance testing and certification.
  • Equipment Maintenance & Management: Maintain the working condition of welding equipment, fixtures, consumables, and PPE, including testing, repairs, and general maintenance.
  • ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) / K3 responsibilities:
    • Align with and implement the company's OHS policies.
    • Making hazard identification area and following K3 rules applied
  • ISO 14001 / environment responsibilities:
    • Implement environmental policies according to ISO 14001.
    • Make identification of aspects and impacts in the work environment.
    • Align with and carry out environmental policy procedures implemented by the company.
    • Dispose of waste in designated places according to ISO 14001 regulations.

What You Bring

  • Manufacturing/Service Experience: 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or service industries.
  • Education/Experience: Associate's degree or 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Supervisory Background: Supervisory experience in repair, heavy manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Team Leadership: Proven track record to mentor and empower team members.
  • Technical Welding Expertise: Experience with welding, machining, and NDE techniques.
  • Instruction Interpretation: Ability to understand and work with sophisticated work instructions and processes.
  • Welding Certification & Standards: Polytechnic/vocational training in Welding Technology; licensed welder experience per international standards; Certified IIW Welding Specialist (IWS)/Technician (IWT) per DIN EN ISO 14731; extensive knowledge of welding processes 111/141/135; knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., AD 2000, DIN EN 13480, DIN EN ISO 3834).
  • Operational Skills: Ability to select appropriate welding equipment, consumables, and gas mixtures; meticulous and capable of multitasking; experience implementing production orders, handling costs, focusing on quality/continuous improvement, and maintaining records for qualifications/approvals.
