A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you will engage with regional customers to develop and lead project opportunities in the H2 and Power to X sectors. Your day will involve talking to customers and presenting Siemens Energy’s offer and its benefits, collaborating with cross-functional teams, guiding customers through technical aspects of our product, preparing comprehensive proposals and negotiating contracts. You will also participate in key discussions with senior customer representatives, as well as Siemens Energy leadership, ensuring alignment with Siemens Energy’s strategic goals with the customers project complexities.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop, prioritize, and lead project opportunities to secure orders in close interaction with regional customers for H2 and Power to X projects.
  • Identify new opportunities and engage in a Go/No-Go (PM10) process to evaluate each opportunity’s characteristics for effective resource allocation.
  • Drive key discussions and build relationships with senior customer representatives, including EPCs, owners engineers, and end customers.
  • Guide customers through our technology and consult with Siemens Energy internal experts on the complexities of our overall offer to set an overall winning strategy for the opportunity.
  • Lead the core team through a bid/no bid (PM020) process and in preparing bid documents in accordance with the customer project requirements or request for proposal specifications while ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy processes and policies.
  • Submit comprehensive and high-quality technical and commercial proposals to customers and leading negotiations to finalize contract agreements.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience, with a preferred 3-5 years in Technical Sales, Bid Management, or Business Development for complex energy related systems or solutions. Those with more years of experience may be considered for a more senior level.
  • Strong customer-facing experience and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Project Management experience and/or PMP certification is preferred.
  • Experience in relevant technical disciplines such as design, construction, or engineering practices in the hydrogen industry or related industry (e.g. large power plants, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a proactive approach to achieving results in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in H2 Electrolysis, photovoltaic or battery technology, and related process technology. 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Sound knowledge of contract management and negotiations skills with an understanding of typical commercial aspects of an equipment procurement contract.
  • A proactive high achiever with high energy levels, accustomed to working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
