A Snapshot of Your Day

This role sets the commercial direction for the UK & Ireland switchgear portfolio across distribution and transmission voltage levels, covering AIS, GIS, and surge products. The position owns sales strategy and pricing governance to drive profitable growth, while working closely with Sales, Proposals, and global Switchgear factories to deliver competitive and compliant solutions. By mobilising and upskilling the wider sales organisation and actively engaging with customers, partners, and industry bodies, the role strengthens market positioning and ensures Siemens Energy is recognised as a leading switchgear provider across the UK & Ireland.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Own the commercial interface for the UK & Ireland switchgear portfolio, acting as the senior escalation point for key opportunities and bid commitments.
  • Define and execute gotomarket strategies and product rollout plans for AIS, GIS, and surge products based on market intelligence and customer needs.
  • Lead strategic customer, account, and partner engagement to drive pipeline growth, improve winrates, and support longterm customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain robust pricing governance to ensure competitiveness, margin discipline, and appropriate approval processes.
  • Represent the UK & Ireland market within global product management forums, influencing portfolio roadmaps and offer configuration.
  • Lead industry engagement and external representation to strengthen Siemens Energy’s profile and leadership in the switchgear market.


What You Bring

  • Extensive experience in commercial leadership, sales, or business development within transmission, distribution, or switchgear environments.
  • Strong understanding of AIS, GIS, and surge products, with the ability to shape technical and commercial strategies for complex opportunities.
  • Proven ability to build and influence senior internal and external stakeholder relationships across global organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience in pricing governance, pipeline management, and forecasting within a structured commercial framework.
  • The ability to translate market intelligence into clear segment priorities, bid strategies, and scalable offerings.
  • A collaborative leadership style with strong communication skills and a commitment to compliance with company policies and processes.
