A Snapshot of Your Day 

It’s 8:30 AM – the day starts with a short virtual stand-up with the global team. Key topics: an upcoming update for a core application and an escalated support ticket from Asia. Next is a strategy meeting with Enterprise Architecture to align the roadmap for the upcoming quarter.

Late in the morning, there’s a review with an external service provider implementing a new module. After lunch, the Global ET Application Manager analyzes performance data and identifies optimization opportunities. In the afternoon, there are coordination calls with the regional ET teams in North America and a brief exchange with the CIO regarding budget planning. The day ends around 6:00 PM with a look at the to-do list for tomorrow – and a quick check of the international request and support channels.


How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Lead an interdisciplinary team of business analysts, developers, and external specialists
  • Take responsibility for the entire lifecycle of ET applications – from planning and operation to decommissioning
  • Develop and maintain a global application roadmap in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture
  • Ensure integration of new applications and upgrades of existing systems
  • Collaborate with regional ET teams to harmonize processes, support, and services
  • Monitor application performance and implement optimization measures to increase efficiency

What You Bring
  • At least a bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience in application management, ideally in an international environment in a leading role
  • Solid knowledge of application lifecycle management and design of application landscapes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and resilience
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of ITIL, TOGAF or similar frameworks and relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are a plus
