A Snapshot of Your Day 

As Commodity Manager (f/m/d) for Cold Blades & Vanes, you will own the global sourcing strategy and supplier landscape for forged blade components. You play a key role in ensuring cost competitiveness, supply security, quality, and sustainability across the global Gas Services network.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Define & execute global commodity strategy for cold blades & vanes with focus on forged components
  • Develop and manage a global supplier portfolio, including dual sourcing and risk mitigation strategies
  • Lead international negotiations covering pricing, long-term agreements (LTAs), capacity, tooling, and investments
  • Drive cost reduction & value engineering in collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing
  • Ensure supply chain resilience through capacity planning, risk analysis, and mitigation actions
  • Support new product introduction and design changes, ensuring supplier readiness and procurement alignment

What You Bring
  • Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or similar field
  • Extensive experience in strategic procurement / commodity management, ideally in forgings or rotating components
  • Strong knowledge of forging processes, technical drawings, and cost drivers
  • Proven negotiation and contract management skills in an international environment
  • Structured, analytical mindset with strong ownership and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Fluent English; German and/or Hungarian is a plus; willingness to travel internationally

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and 
decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, 
steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, 
modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
