Siemens Energy Graduate Program – Project Management Support, New Unit Power Plant Solutions (f/m/d)

What You Can Expect

Over the course of two years, you’ll get hands-on experience, be actively integrated into the day-to-day activities of your teams and gain a deep understanding of Siemens Energy. You'll rapidly build in-depth knowledge, discover solutions, and experience our business first-hand.

From day one, you will work on meaningful projects with three individually designed assignments, including one eight-months assignment abroad (Covid permitting).

You will be assigned a mentor and will shadow a role or position to support you in reaching your individual career goals and network with peers and business leaders. You’ll also have access to the resources to help you grow!

In your role as Project Management Support, you will be integrated into a project team and support the implementation of very exciting and complex power plant projects. The project management group manages a portfolio of diverse projects with responsibilities ranging from acquisition support, project implementation and warranty.

Your work will involve interacting with team members from various other functions (e.g., engineering, supply chain, site installation, commissioning, quality, finance). By applying both your technical and interpersonal skills, you will gain a broad understanding of how the many different functions come together as a team to deliver result with a common purpose.

  • As part of our Graduate Program, you are on the Siemens Energy team. You’ll share our purpose in energizing society by supporting customers with transitioning to a more sustainable world and will work on real global issues, creating solutions that directly make an impact.
  • Work closely with various other team members and gain insights to different aspects of project management.
  • With your engaged contribution, you will support project teams to achieve their targets (the timely and in quality delivery of our products), while maintaining our EHS standards of Zero Harm and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • You will have the ability to leverage your strengths in areas best suited to your specific skills and, once capable, will be empowered to deliver project specific deliverables yourself.

What You Bring

  • Team player with a passion for project work combined with an ability to develop positive relationships, win trust, and bring the best out of others.
  • Strategic problem solving approach and comfortable working in unfamiliar situations. You won’t just be completing tasks, you will be solving challenges using analytical approaches, critical thinking, entrepreneurial mindset, and the power of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, proactive behavior and an interest in new and exciting challenges, countries, and cultures. You are a self-motivated curious learner.
  • Significant practical work experience up to 36 months including knowledge from internships, working student activities or employment.
  • A master's degree, doctoral degree, or equivalent in Management or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 months of international experience gained through studying or working.
  • Excellent English skills to work in a multi-cultural environment and be flexible and mobile during the program.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services at Siemens Energy

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
