A Snapshot of Your Day
As the EHS Team Lead you will lead substantial projects that enhance EHS integration across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy’s standards while fostering collaboration with local EHS representatives. Your work will significantly impact the safety and well-being of employees and partners, contributing to Siemens Energy’s mission of delivering sustainable energy solutions in a culture that values initiative, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Define, communicate, and regulate EHS objectives and strategies to ensure alignment with the SV-related IMS system, providing adequate field supervision and strategic oversight.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local EHS representatives in Middle Eastern countries, facilities, and service operators to cultivate collaboration and compliance.
- Ensure that EHS processes are effectively implemented and followed within the organization, working closely with partners in various countries and central functions.
- Strengthen EHS integration across the entire project lifecycle, from the bid phase through to project completion, ensuring safety and compliance at every stage.
- Supervise and report on EQS performance at the GT SV Kuwait level, ensuring timely implementation of corrective measures when necessary.
- Provide tactical guidance, operational support, and EQS consulting to Siemens Energy Grid Technologies’ local leadership, management, and employees, collaborating with all internal partners.
What You Bring
- A university degree in Engineering or a relevant professional qualification, coupled with substantial experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management.
- A minimum of 10 years of proven experience working in corporate EQS or a similar environment, with a strong understanding of the dynamics of site operations in medium and high voltage substations.
- Proficiency in English, along with strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative mentality.
- Advanced knowledge of strategic EQS topics, including EHS injury prevention methodologies, high-risk work activities, health management, and continuous improvement concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of EQS risk management, root cause analysis techniques, auditing processes, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH and Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt/Black-Belt, along with knowledge of ISO standards related to EQS, will be considered advantageous
