A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Student Worker in the R&D Nacelle Backend department at Siemens Gamesa, your day will involve working within the mechanical design engineering area, contributing to the development of advanced wind power technologies. You will be part of a dynamic and multicultural R&D environment, where you will analyse components like stairs, ladders, and guard-rails, helping to harmonize secondary support structures across sub-modules and platforms. Your work will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of our designs and ensuring adherence to Design for X principles.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Engage in design work, including 3D modelling using NX Siemens PLM and document management with Teamcenter Siemens PLM.
  • Perform structural calculations using analytical and numerical methods (FEM).
  • Participate in prototype testing workshops, if relevant.
  • Create technical documentation and implement Design Guideline for mechanical components.

What You Bring

  • Currently studying a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in product development and mechanical design engineering.
  • Outgoing and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and in teams.
  • Structured and innovative approach to task solving, ensuring technical soundness and commercial viability.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
