A Snapshot of Your Day
On a day-to-day basis, you will own end-to-end strategic procurement for assigned categories and project packages, leading complex sourcing events and negotiations to secure the best total value (safety, quality, delivery, and total cost of ownership). You will shape sourcing strategies, establish contracting frameworks, and drive supplier performance and risk mitigation across the supply base. As a senior team member, you will advise and influence stakeholders across Operations, Project Management, Engineering, Quality, Legal, and Finance, and coach others on best practices, governance, and compliant execution.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for categories and projects, delivering cost savings, cost avoidance, and improved total cost of ownership.
- Lead supplier negotiations and contract management, including RFx processes, framework agreements, commercial terms, change control, KPIs, and award recommendations.
- Drive supplier performance and relationships, including strategic supplier development, scorecards, QBRs, escalations, claims, and performance improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional senior stakeholders across Engineering, Project Management, Legal, Operations, and Order Management to align sourcing strategies, requirements, and award decisions.
- Champion digitalization and continuous improvement, leveraging data, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to improve sourcing speed, transparency, efficiency, and compliance.
- Manage procurement risk, compliance, and governance, ensuring adherence to procurement policies, export controls/sanctions, due diligence, sustainability requirements, audit trails, and contractual entitlements.
What Will Help You Succeed
- Extensive strategic sourcing experience (typically 7+ years) in regulated or industrial environments, including high-value negotiations.
- Professional procurement certification (e.g. CIPS, CPSM) strongly preferred.
- Strong supplier and project execution knowledge, including supplier quality, expediting, inspection regimes, and cross-functional issue resolution/recovery.
- Advanced commercial and contractual expertise, including Incoterms, international logistics, contracting terms, risk allocation, and total cost of ownership.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, coach colleagues, and drive strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Strong risk, compliance, and digital mindset, including export controls/sanctions, audit-ready documentation, ERP/e-sourcing tools, analytics, and continuous improvement.
