A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Solution Engineer - Electrical, you will take care of our customer’s needs, find solutions, and turn ideas into reality by designing the mechanical part. Your range of responsibility may vary from a feasibility study to a final detail design.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Develop Instrumentation and Electrical solutions.
• Selection and sizing of instruments such as analyzers, solenoid valves, limit, pressure & level switches, pressure transmitters and flow instruments.
• Developing P&ID, work instructions or work packs, wiring, arrangement, layout diagrams and Bill of Material for systems.
• Cable level segregation, conduit and cable tray selection and sizing
• Selection and sizing of appropriate Power cables, Control cables and junction boxes for hazardous zones and non-hazard zones.
• Work with designers/drafters on detailed design (e.g. schematics, electrical interface, single line diagrams, BOM’s etc.).
• Work closely with Design Authorities and present the solution in design reviews.
• Must be able to handle multiple projects.
• Liaise with procurement and suppliers to source systems and necessary components with Global Procurement Specification.
• Work with assembly personnel to optimize design for manufacturing.
• Resolve any customer issues and support through installation.
• Must be well versed in the practical application of industry codes, certification requirements and standards for different regions and countries (API, UL, CSA, ASME, ATEX, IEC, etc.)

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• 4+ years of professional experience designing electrical systems is required. Those with more experience may be considered for a higher level.
• Preferred experience in the oil & gas industry
• Must be available to travel 8-10% (domestic and international)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

 About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
