In this capacity, you will be a core member of the Senior Leadership Team, serving as a trusted advisor to the Plant Director and their leadership colleagues. Your remit will span the entire employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, attracting and developing talent, overseeing comprehensive employee relations, and offering direct leadership to the local HR team.
Additionally, you will be a key contributor to the Country HR Leadership Team, reporting directly to the UK&I HR Director. It will be essential to ensure that our HR operating model is upheld with the highest integrity, while simultaneously enhancing the business’s capability to achieve its strategic objectives. This responsibility will at times require balancing competing priorities, but your authority and extensive experience will enable you to effectively manage the challenges of operating within a complex, matrixed organisational structure.

• Play an active and committed role within the Country HR team, safeguarding the integrity of the company’s HR operating model (ONE HR), and resolving conflicts and escalations as they arise.
• Provide functional HR leadership, clear direction, and a sense of purpose to the local HR team, supporting them in the delivery of the People Plan and in building line manager capability within the factory.
• Offer expert advice and counsel to the Plant Director and the wider SLT regarding sensitive people matters, complex cases, and serious disputes.
• Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of employee relations practices and legal requirements relevant to the day-to-day management of staff in a high-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Lead the factory’s employee relations strategy, including regular engagement with local Trade Union representatives and management of the annual pay and conditions negotiation process.
• Drive the implementation of organisational development initiatives and change management efforts at the Blade Factory.
• Work closely with the Country and global Centres of Excellence to implement global HR policies, strategies, and tools at the site level, while providing constructive feedback and challenge where adaptations are required to suit local realities.

What You Bring

• Proven, senior human resources leadership experience including experience of working dealing with employee relations topics and Trade Unions.
• You have proven success in inspiring and driving change in business.
• You have demonstrated the ability to challenge and influence at all levels.
• Highly resilient and flexible, with the ability to work in a matrixed environment and manage the demands of different stakeholders.
• Calm, composed and a good relationship builder, you will thrive in a demanding environment and be comfortable with change and ambiguity.
• Be committed to being present on site with flexibility afforded on an ad hoc basis to work remotely.
