| A Snapshot of Your Day The Shift Leader is responsible for overseeing control room and plant operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient power generation. This role provides leadership to operations personnel, supports plant start-up and shutdown activities, responds to operational events and emergencies, and ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and operational requirements. The Shift Leader also supports the continuous development of the operations team while maintaining plant performance and customer satisfaction. How You’ll Make an Impact · Monitor and oversee the status of all plant systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. · Optimize thermal and electrical output by analyzing plant performance and recommending operational improvements. · Respond to alarms, upset conditions, and emergency situations, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented. · Coordinate plant start-up, shutdown, and normal operating activities in accordance with established procedures. · Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and permit-to-work (LOTO) requirements while maintaining operational integrity. · Support operational excellence through workforce training, shift reporting, and effective use of plant management systems. What You Bring · Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience in a similar environment. · Minimum of 10 years of experience in power generation, industrial plant operations, or related heavy industry operations. · Strong understanding of plant systems, control room operations, safety procedures, and industrial plant technology. · Experience leading, supervising, or coordinating operational teams in a plant environment. · Proficiency with Omnivise Asset Management, Microsoft Office applications, and computerized maintenance or plant management systems. · Professional working proficiency in English and the ability to work effectively in diverse and multicultural teams.
