A Snapshot of Your Day
This expert-level Senior Strategy Manager role is critical for defining and implementing the Gas Services strategy. The position will lead high-impact initiatives with a specific focus on the Gas Services Service Business to support the expected growth and its long-term competitiveness including its digital solutions, new services and conducting improvement analysis to support long-term objectives.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the energy sector, specifically the gas turbine service business and / or management consulting or corporate strategy. This role requires a proven ability to lead complex projects, analyze data, and effectively influence senior leadership to drive strategic alignment and execution across the business.
Success in this position is defined by the ability to translate high-level strategic goals into actionable plans, manage cross-functional teams to deliver results, and communicate progress and outcomes clearly to executive stakeholders. This ensures the continuous evolution of the Gas Services business in response to market dynamics and technological advancements.
How You’ll Make an Impact - Development and implementation of actionable strategies for Gas Services with a focus on service business growth
- Analysis of industry trends and competitor insights to identify strategic opportunities and support business planning
- Execution of service business improvement analyses using core data tools, programs, and enhancement of data quality and tool utilization
- Advancement of strategic initiatives in digitalization and development of new business models within the service business
- Creation of complex forecasting models, budgeting, and resource allocation planning to support strategic initiatives
- Leadership of high-impact, cross-functional strategic projects, including timeline management, deliverable definition, and target achievement
- Facilitation of cross-business initiatives, including evaluation of partnerships and M&A opportunities to drive growth
- Definition, tracking, and reporting of KPIs, along with preparation of executive-level presentations and stakeholder engagement to ensure strategic alignment
What You Bring- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA considered an advantage
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in product/service business, commercial project management, or management consulting/strategy
- Industry experience in Power Generation, Oil & Gas, or related sectors, with a strong preference for service business exposure
- Proven track record in managing large-scale, complex projects and coordinating cross-regional strategy processes
- Strong analytical capabilities, including data-driven insight generation and development of innovative solutions to complex business challenges
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels, including board-level, and strong communication skills in English (German as a plus)
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
