A Snapshot of Your Day
As an R&D project manager you play a meaningful role in turning ideas into reality. From the planning phase of the project and throughout its execution, you ensure progress is made and that project turning points are reliably achieved.
You start your day with a daily stand-up with the project team, leading them through the status and open items. Next, you delegate tasks, set priorities and evaluate the impact on the results of the project. In the afternoon, you work with key stakeholders to resolve conflicts and remove obstacles to keep the project delivery timely and in budget.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the planning and execution of R&D projects in the field of Electrification, Automation, or Digitalization
- Project Planning: Time planning, Resource planning in collaboration with department heads, and cost planning based on the defined project scope. Ensure that the Development commitments are planned and coordinate the activities of project team personnel together with the technical project lead to meet the plan.
- Time Management: Creating schedules and achieving agreed development milestones.
- Project reporting and communication: Effectively report and communicate project status across Product Management-community and team members.
- Cost Management: Monitor project financials to identify and correct deviations from the project plan. Developing a project budget and controlling costs during the project lifecycle in collaboration with commercial project managers, ensuring we achieve the agreed delivery objectives within the approved budget.
- Quality Management: Ensuring the results meet the necessary quality standards and development requirements. Ensure adherence to Product Lifecycle Management Process.
What You Bring
- You have several years of experience as a project manager in R&D or similar environment.
- Knowledge and experience in managing project finances, forecasting and controlling project costs.
- University degree.
- Ideally you hold a project management certification (e.g. PMI, IPMA or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially SharePoint, MS EXCEL, MS Project and OnePM. Ideally you have basic user experience with SAP, but this is not a must.
- You are a team-player and can lead multicultural teams within our international setup.
- Availability to travel abroad.
- Business fluent in English.

Our Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector. Increasing electrification and efficiency are key and demand for green H2 and derivative fuels will rise. We enable decarbonization of the industrial sector and the transition to sustainable processes, building on a strong industrial customer base, a global network, diverse technologies, and integrated execution capabilities.
