A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Senior Primary Design Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will target experienced professionals with a strong background in electrical engineering and a passion for high-voltage substation design. You will engage in meaningful projects, including the design of substation layouts, earthing systems, and lightning protection systems, directly impacting the efficiency and safety of energy transmission for our clients and partners. How You’ll Make an Impact:

  •  Deliver high-quality primary designs in compliance with IEC/IEEE standards.
  •  Prepare substation layouts and sections for various projects, including turn-key and rehabilitation.
  •  Design and size substation earthing and lightning protection systems.
  •  Conduct sizing calculations for MV/HV cables and busbar connections.
  •  Prepare purchase specifications and review supplier offers.
  •  Coordinate with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in HV substation design and familiarity with Transmission and Distribution standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, CYMCAB, and CDEGS software.
  • Strong communication, networking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in a multicultural environment with sensitivity to diverse needs.
