關於職位
A Snapshot of Your Day
This request is for a backfill of a Senior Mechanical Engineer position within the Gas Services Operations & Maintenance team in Egypt. The role is integral to maintaining the operational readiness and reliability of mechanical systems at the Midelec facility, directly supporting service continuity. To meet these objectives, the position is structured around three core functions: Advanced Maintenance & Troubleshooting, Maintenance Program Management, and Technical Leadership. This approach ensures the role covers complex, hands-on technical problem-solving, strategic maintenance planning and optimization, and the senior-level responsibility of mentoring and upholding quality standards. Given the focus on complex systems and process oversight, the ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in mechanical engineering for power generation equipment. Demonstrable experience in reliability engineering, managing maintenance projects, and coaching junior engineers is essential for success in this role.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Plan and execute complex repair and maintenance activities on critical mechanical equipment, such as gas turbines and associated systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshooting advanced mechanical failures using systematic problem-solving techniques to minimize equipment downtime.
- Lead the installation and commissioning of new or refurbished mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with all engineering specifications and safety standards.
- Design, implement, and optimize predictive and preventive maintenance programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Manage maintenance project workflows, coordinating with production, operations, and external vendors to align with operational schedules.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and engineering change notices.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior engineers and maintenance technicians to build team capability.
- Review the work of team members and contractors to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and engineering best practices.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
- Significant experience (typically 5-8 years) in mechanical maintenance engineering, preferably within the power generation, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sector.
- Proven experience managing maintenance projects and coaching junior professionals.
