A Snapshot of Your Day

The position is critical for capitalizing on the strong growth observed in the Malaysian data center and utility business sectors. To support these business aims, the role is structured around three core areas: Sales & Business Development for acquiring new clients, Customer & Account Management to nurture existing relationships, and Sales Operations & Market Analysis for strategic planning and reporting.

This focus ensures a comprehensive approach to both capturing new market share and maintaining a strong customer base. Given the focus on technical sales and market growth, the ideal candidate will possess proven experience in field sales, preferably within the energy or data center industries.

Key requirements include strong capabilities in technical sales execution, customer relationship management, and the ability to work independently as an Experienced Professional.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • 50% Sales & Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the Malaysian data center and utility markets.
    • Develop and deliver technical sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
    • Assess customer needs to suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions from the Grid Technologies portfolio.
    • Lead negotiations and close sales agreements to achieve or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • 30% Customer & Account Management
    • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
    • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within the existing customer base.
    • Develop medium to long-term sales plans for targeted accounts to protect and diversify relationships.
  • 20% Sales Operations & Market Analysis
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
    • Prepare and submit regular sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates to management.
    • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and industry developments in Malaysia to inform sales strategies.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical field sales or sales engineer role.
  • Proven experience selling into the utility, energy, or data center industries is highly desirable.
  • Sales experience (Execution, prospecting, negotiations, forecasting etc)
  • Customer management and relationship building experience
