A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Quality Engineer at Siemens Energy’s Hot Gas Path component refurbishment facility, you will ensure that the inspection, repair, and refurbishment of combustors, blades, and vanes meet the highest quality and engineering standards. Collaborating closely with shop floor teams, global repair network partners, and qualification auditors, you will drive quality excellence and support continuous improvement across all repair processes.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality documentation and procedures aligned with Siemens Energy Repair Network standards for HGP components.
- Establish and enhance inspection and testing procedures for all stages of the refurbishment process, including incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Perform detailed inspections of combustors, blades, and vanes to ensure conformance with engineering specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Generate inspection reports and define repair scope in accordance with Siemens Energy standards and repair categories.
- Execute shop floor quality control activities, ensuring adherence to procedures and prompt identification of deviations.
- Drive a “Right First Time” culture to reduce rework, improve turnaround time, and enhance productivity.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or repair shop environments, with hands-on experience in gas turbine component repair preferred.
- Strong knowledge of metrology, inspection techniques, and quality control processes.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and critical-to-quality characteristics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in global and cross-cultural teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform under time-critical conditions.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
