A Snapshot of your Day:

We’re looking for passionate project manager to join the 5F Product Engineering team in Orlando. As a project manager, your day centers around the technical development of the 5000F product. The project manager is the cognizant engineer for Gas Turbine new unit and Modernizations & Upgrade products for SGT6-5000F.  The scope of responsibility extends to coordinating support from all other organizations directed towards development, negotiations and implementations for the new unit and Modernizations and Upgrade (M&U) product line.  

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Execute R&D projects with adherence to budget, timeline and technical requirements.
  • Direct and lead multiple product development efforts including:
    • Develop product strategies with marketing.
    • Risk assessment
    • Program planning
    • Business case support
    • Product development process
    • Procurement/PPQ/Manufacturing support
    • Product implementation and logistics
  • Provide engineering support for the implementation of products once sold including:
    • Product definition and release of hardware
    • Creation of PCM’s
    • Commissioning and testing
    • Validation planning
    • Developing customer information / instructions
  • Provide technical support to marketing in support of proposals for sale of new unit and Modernization & Upgrades.
  • 10-15% travel is expected in support of customer meetings, site walk-downs, vendor support, testing, and product implementation.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university/college. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 8+ years of successful experience in a gas turbine development environment with extensive understanding of gas turbine design, operational aspects & improvement levers. Advanced degree may be substituted for experience, where applicable.
  • Strong program management and communications skills, network building, and solid engineering background.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
