A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Project Manager for Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), you will be overseeing overall project execution, conducting technical meetings, and coordinating with clients. You will also manage resources, monitor budgets, ensure safety and quality compliance, and troubleshoot technical issues while taking care of internal and external stakeholders.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Efficiently manages multiple GIS projects at once to maintain Project Schedule, Customer Satisfaction & Financial Responsibilities
  • Lead project management activities including scheduling, budget, risk, change, opportunity, forecast and reoccurring reporting to management.
  • Profit/Loss responsibility for assigned projects and responsible for creating and sharing project specific lessons learned and eliminating/reducing project NCC’s
  • Work daily with local and global project teams
  • Continuous learning of GIS and general switchgear products
  • Ability to travel as needed, could meet or exceed 30%

What You Bring

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree Engineering or Business with at least 5 years of experience in Power Systems. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Must possess excellent communication, leadership, team building & customer facing skills
  • Experience in process improvement, quality management and managing global teams
  • Basic knowledge of GIS, BoP, & switchgear products
  • Project Management certifications preferred
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
