A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

In the department TI SQD, we are responsible for supplier qualifications, product and process qualifications, addressing nonconformances, Root Cause Analysis, Implementing corrective and preventive measures and supplier development.

The intern will support the Supplier Quality department to perform various quality activities such as supplier qualification, product and process qualification, root cause analysis (RCA), 5 Why’s, 8D reviews, etc. The role will include assist in requesting required documentation from suppliers and proactively maintaining Ready To Order (R2O) status in Approved Supplier Directory (ASD) for legacy and new suppliers.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Prepare reports by analyzing, and summarizing data from PARSE 360 Dashboard for Supplier Qualification.
  • Coordinate with SQEs to define actions needed to maintain Ready To Order status of suppliers in Approved Supplier Directory (ASD)
  • Assist SQEs in completing necessary tasks to maintain valid R2O status in ASD, including contacting suppliers for ISO certs / audit questionnaires.
  • Collaborate with worldwide SQEs and procurement team to ensure the data quality and accuracy in ASD.
  • Conducting RCA analysis on NCC events with a cross functional team.
  • Assist SQEs in preparing audit reports and following up with suppliers to ensure timely closure of audit findings.
  • The intern will be assigned job tasks that will require above average proficiency in PC-based software packages for presentation, spreadsheet, and chart applications such as MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • Must be currently pursuing a University Degree in engineering (mechanical or material)
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methods, tools and quality principles is a plus.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Adaptability to last minute and unforeseen changes.
  • Comfortable with taking the initiative and gathering the required data and information to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining high standards for quality.
