The focus is on the evaluating product design in area of centrifugal compressor components and package solutions in the field of energy transition and decarbonization of industry. Expansion of engineering tasks in the dimensions of "Material Cost Productivity" (Cost-out), "Value-added Measures" (Engineering Productivity), Employee Training, Concept Design.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Supporting the product strategy in relation to emerging markets for energy transition and decarbonization with solutions for package design, standardization, and documentation; Strategic first focus will be Process gas cooler thermodynamic design and calculation
  • Being technically detail oriented with skills in advanced analysis, solving complex problems, decision making, managing multiple projects, and meeting stringent customer deadlines
  • Participating in workshops with portfolio management and generating ideas for design-to-cost and further improvement measures
  • Supporting non-conformance investigations and 5WHY root cause analysis and applying your expertise to help engineering teams develop corrective actions for customer projects
  • Assisting bid management in assessing non-standard project requirements, designing new concepts and additional risk mitigation measures as part of the ROA process in the bidding phase
  • Developing and leading learning programs for other departments on your specialist topics

What You Bring
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering subject area or related field
  • Longterm expertise in turbo compressor systems, components, and international standards in the oil and gas sector, as well as in the mechanical design and calculation of process gas coolers with related knowledge of international standards e.g. TEMA, AD2000, PED, ASME BPVC & DIN EN 13445
  • Expert knowledge in thermodynamics for the calculation of heat exchangers, enabling programmers to develop an in-house tool for calculating heat exchangers according to applications in turbo compressor technology and liquid separator technologies, as well as solid knowledge and understanding in the field of technical and dynamic mechanics
  • Evaluation of technical quotes from suppliers for process gas coolers and interest in solving complex problems and demonstrating high professional judgment to solve complex problems
  • Added advantage is the Knowledge of the processes, the business software (e.g., NX) and the technology of turbomachinery construction in relation to the mentioned responsibilities in the relevant application areas for package design and integration for centrifugal compressors
  • Experience working in a global environment, leading global project teams and expertise in usage of Aspen HYSYS, HTRI, as well as general knowledge of compression industry standards and calculation for components e.g. process gas piping is preferred
