A Snapshot of Your Day

The Portfolio Bid Manager – Controls & Digitalisation manages the end-to-end delivery of bid and proposal activities across our Controls, Digitalisation, and Decarbonisation portfolio in Australia. Working collaboratively with Sales, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and regional teams across APAC, India, and Germany, you'll ensure each opportunity meets our commercial, technical, and compliance standards while driving execution readiness and business growth.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Manage bid and proposal activities across the Controls & Digitalisation portfolio in Australia (DCS, SCADA, Electrical and integrated control systems), ensuring consistent application of Siemens Energy processes, approval gates, and governance standards.
  • Collaborate early with Portfolio Sales and Account Managers to assess technical feasibility, evaluate commercial attractiveness, and develop winning strategies covering technical solutioning, risk mitigation, cost structure, and key contractual terms.
  • Present bid strategies, risks, and commercial positions to management for approval, while managing multiple bids in parallel and delivering high-quality, competitive, and on-time proposals.
  • Coordinate technical and commercial inputs from regional and global stakeholders (APAC, India, Germany), serving as the primary focal point for bid-related technical topics with customers and supporting technical clarifications during the bid phase.
  • Support Sales during contract negotiations and ensure structured handover to Project Execution, including defined scope, risks, assumptions, and commercial/contractual obligations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of bidding processes, tools, cost models, and risk frameworks, acting as a bridge between Sales and Execution through mutually agreeable technical concepts and cost preparation.Manage bid and proposal activities across the Controls & Digitalisation portfolio in Australia (DCS, SCADA, Electrical and integrated control systems), ensuring consistent application of Siemens Energy processes, approval gates, and governance standards.
