A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Planning Engineer in the Business Unit Transmission Solutions, you’ll play a pivotal role in executing and completing Grid Stations projects in Karachi, Pakistan. This position targets experienced engineers with a knack for project planning and management, offering the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that directly impact the efficiency and success of Siemens Energy’s mission. Your work will enhance team collaboration, optimize project timelines, and ensure client satisfaction, all while fostering a culture of trust and integrity within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules and man-hour budgets, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Routinely analyze and forecast project status, assessing the impact of design or construction changes on schedules.
- Report on man-hour actuals and demand/forecast data, preparing detailed slide packs for management review.
- Evaluate project progress, compare actual versus desired states, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate project activities to meet objectives within budget, identifying potential issues and recommending recovery plans.
- Conduct site visits for progress monitoring and engage in customer meetings to ensure project alignment and stakeholder satisfaction.
What You Bring
- A degree in Engineering, preferably in electrical engineering, with a strong foundation in project planning.
- 5-7 years of experience in project planning, demonstrating a deep understanding of project management principles.
- Proficiency in project planning tools such as MS Project and Primavera, enabling effective schedule management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ensuring efficient documentation and reporting.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with diverse teams and clients.
