How to contribute to our vision

This position is being added to the Operational Procurement team to provide dedicated support for the A65 re-activation and the expanded A35 manufacturing scope for Petrobras projects in Santa Barbara, Brazil. This role is critical for ensuring the timely and efficient acquisition of materials needed to meet project deadlines and production targets. To address these project demands, this role will concentrate on three core areas: operational procurement execution, supplier performance and relationship management, and materials planning coordination. These functions are designed to manage the end-to-end purchasing cycle, from order placement to delivery, while ensuring supplier reliability and alignment with manufacturing schedules. Given the focus on project-based manufacturing, the ideal candidate will possess proven experience as an operational buyer in an industrial setting. Key requirements include proficiency in SAP and procurement software, strong analytical capabilities for managing material requirements, and effective supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.

What You Need To Make a Difference

  • 50% Operational Procurement Execution
    • Process purchase requisitions and create timely and accurate purchase orders in SAP for direct materials supporting the A35 and A65 projects.
    • Manage the complete order lifecycle, including order confirmation, monitoring delivery dates, and resolving any discrepancies in pricing or quantity.
    • Facilitate the procure-to-pay process by collaborating with accounts payable to resolve invoice issues and ensure on-time supplier payments.
    • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, supplier communications, and delivery documentation.
  • 30% Supplier Management and Coordination
    • Serve as the primary operational contact for suppliers, managing day-to-day communications and resolving logistical or delivery challenges.
    • Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, such as on-time delivery and quality compliance, to support supplier evaluation processes.
    • Negotiate pricing and delivery terms for operational purchases in alignment with established framework agreements and project budgets.
    • Collaborate with strategic procurement and quality assurance teams to address and escalate recurring supplier performance issues.
  • 20% Materials Planning and Inventory Support
    • Work closely with project management and manufacturing teams to understand material demand based on production schedules for the A35 and A65 units.
    • Analyze material requirements planning (MRP) data to ensure component availability and prevent production stoppages.
    • Support inventory control initiatives by providing accurate data on lead times and delivery schedules to optimize stock levels.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in an operational procurement or buyer role, preferably within a manufacturing, engineering, or project-based industrial environment.
