A Snapshot of your day
Your day involves assembling turbines from individual components to full systems, ensuring quality, and documenting progress while preparing and executing inspections. As a New Erection Engineer, you lead power plant installations worldwide, troubleshoot customer issues, and embrace a dynamic, non-desk-bound role.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Assemble turbines, from individual components to full systems (including turbines and auxiliaries), following specifications and engineering documents.
- Document equipment condition and status, ensure quality, and prepare required reports in accordance with procedures.
- Plan, prepare, and perform inspections to verify completion and readiness of systems.
- Lead the installation of power plant components (gas and steam turbine generator sets) independently in the Middle East and worldwide.
- Troubleshoot, record, and analyze customer issues, propose solutions, and execute corrective actions when necessary.
- Embrace a dynamic, global role with challenges that go beyond a traditional desk job.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Process) is beneficial; fresh graduates are welcome to apply, while 3-5 years of relevant experience is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of technical equipment, ability to work with technical documentation, and knowledge of general power plant technology.
- Experience in power plant operations and maintenance, especially with Siemens Gas or Steam turbines, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in German and English is essential, with additional language skills being a plus.
- Possess strong analytical skills, a proactive and innovative mindset, and the ability to work under pressure while solving complex problems.
- Flexible, team-oriented, and capable of working independently in diverse international environments, with a willingness to travel extensively and adapt to varied schedules.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
