A Snapshot of your day
As a Mechanical Engineer in the power plant, you will start your day by reviewing operational reports and conducting equipment inspections. They analyze performance data, fix mechanical issues, and collaborate on design modifications to optimize system efficiency. The day concludes with project documentation updates and planning for ongoing maintenance tasks.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and update work plans, procedures, and instructions based on OEM recommendations, standard methodologies, and customer requests.
- Coordinate and conduct failure analysis (e.g., root cause analysis) to improve operational efficiency.
- Improve technical knowledge through training courses and hands-on field experience.
- Apply the plant management system for reporting faults, performing on-site work, and requesting materials.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety laws to protect oneself and others while minimizing environmental impact.
- Manage tools and inventory, including calibration and repair, while maintaining high-quality work standards and promoting a proactive approach.
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years of experience in power plants or oil fields, with 2-5 years preferred in mechanical engineering or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Strong communication, fixing, and technical skills, with the ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
- Possesses a high level of integrity, adaptability, and effective emergency response capabilities; must be a great teammate.
- Proficient in general tool usage and familiar with calibration principles and related tools.
- Committed to following safety instructions and maintaining a safe work environment.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
