A Snapshot of Your Day 

At Siemens Energy Ventures, the communications team focuses on positioning Siemens Energy Ventures in the startup ecosystem and beyond. This includes shining a light on the fantastic projects that are taking place involving our company and the startup ecosystem. This can be through direct communications such as articles, events, social media or online content or preparing members of our team to participate in events. Additionally, the partnerships we have with other organizations in the ecosystem play an important collaborative role. Therefore a key part of this is managing those partnerships and the different elements those partnerships consist of. During this 12-month internship, you will get the opportunity to actively participate in our efforts across the world and really make a difference to telling the story of the energy transition!

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Support and work closely with ventures communications team.
  • Manage content creation across written and visual formats
  • Assist in research when preparing briefing notes for executives for interviews and speaking engagements.
  • Support on the development and delivery of our partnership and mentoring program
  • Create and manage PowerPoint presentations.
  • Event planning and coordination.
  • Support website and SharePoint creation and management
  • Monitor the effectiveness of communication activities through KPI measurement 
  • General administrative and communications support as assigned 

What You Bring
  • You are either a recent University graduate or similar in the fields of marketing, communications, journalism/public relations and have proven yourself as a hands-on collaborator.
  • You are passionate about communications, innovation, community building, entrepreneurship and start-ups
  • You are driven by making a significant, positive socio-economic impact
  • You are self-motivated with the ability to work independently and autonomously with the guidance of the team lead
  • Effective and articulate communicator with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate a team-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrate strong writing and content creation skills with a good knowledge of communication practices and techniques
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with different groups
  • Energetic and dedicated with an acute eye for detail
  • Full written and spoken proficiency in English is vital

Founded in 2020, Siemens Energy Ventures operates at the intersection of Siemens Energy and the startup ecosystem. It focuses on building, piloting and investing in startups and founders capable of building technologies and business models that can help accelerate the decarbonization of the energy systems. Specific interests include long duration energy storage, carbon removal technologies, clean power generation and e-fuels. By offering a unique blend of expertise along with market access, networks and deep technology know-how, its intention is to add significant value in commercialization and scaling.
