A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Logistics Manager, your day will be dynamic and multifaceted, focusing on leading and optimizing global supply chain operations. You will oversee complex logistics processes, including heavy lift logistics and customs clearance, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and efficient handling of cargo. Your strategic planning and operational oversight will directly impact the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our logistics operations, contributing to Siemens Energy’s mission of delivering excellence.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize cost, efficiency, and service quality.
- Supervise transportation, customs clearance, distribution, and inventory management for seamless operations.
- Plan and execute break bulk and heavy lift logistics, ensuring safe handling and transportation.
- Manage reverse logistics processes to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with regulations for dangerous cargo and customs clearance activities.
- Lead and mentor a diverse logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
What You Bring
- Strong background in international trade and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in managing specialized logistics projects, including heavy lift and dangerous cargo.
- Excellent strategic planning and operational oversight skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance improvement.
- Comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations and risk management strategies.
