We offer a diverse and varied field of activities on a global scale. One day you might be negotiating contracts with international clients (e.g. utilities, datacenters, industrial customers) for transmission products (transformers or switchgears). On another day, you may support the business in developing legal solutions for resiliency in the supply chain or support Research and Development activities. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Be the trusted advisor and manage legal matters/risks in relation to general commercial and contract law (including general legal aspects concerning intellectual property, product liability, procurement, administrative and general corporate law, torts and claims) in international business for Siemens Energy’s large scale Grid Technologies Products Business, including transfomers, switchgears, arresters.
  • Proactively assist and contribute to mastering business challenges by entrepreneurial thinking (balancing governance and business needs).
  • Maintain and further improve best in class Legal Department. Engage and handle cost consciously outside counsel when needed at times.
  • Advance process optimization and lean principles to gain efficiency.
  • Foster an organizational culture of ownership, empowerment, transparency, speak up and inclusion and diversity.
  • Collaborate closely within the global Legal and Compliance community, develop and provide training and educate key stakeholders.

What You Bring

  • You have gained several years of professional experience in the legal department of an internationally operating company or a law firm, preferably in relation to international projects / products business and you hold a law degree.
  • Relevant professional experience with a proven track record of successfully managing legal risks in complex transactions.
  • Deep knowledge of contract law and international contract practice and the ability to lead personal strategic contracts/negotiations with customers and suppliers. Experience in IPR and R&D related consulting
  • You are customer orientated and have a passion to enable business transactions pragmatically and to inspire change. You can handle multiple demands at the same time.
  • You enjoy working in a team and in an international environment. You have good communications skills coupled with intercultural sensitivity and competence.
  • Excellent language skills in verbal and written English, language skills in German are beneficial. Other language skills would be considered an asset.
