A Snapshot of your day

Your day involves monitoring plant performance both from the CCR and in the field, assisting in the safe and efficient operation of the Khormala CCPP during shift activities. You support system startups, shutdowns, and normal operations, troubleshoot issues, conduct routine checks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and plant standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support monitoring and operation of power plant systems both from the CCR and in the field.
  • Assist with the startup, shutdown, and normal operation of GTs, STs, HRSGs, and auxiliary systems.
  • Identify deviations in plant parameters, report abnormalities, and support troubleshooting efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures, safety protocols, and plant standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections, record critical operational data, and maintain accurate shift logs and reports.
  • Collaborate on maintenance coordination, communicate effectively with the next shift, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in power plant operations or a similar industrial environment.
  • Basic understanding of combined cycle systems (GT, ST, HRSG, BOP) and familiarity with plant control systems (e.g., T3000 or similar DCS).
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, operational standards, and ability to work in shift rotations under supervision.
  • Strong willingness to learn, develop operational expertise, and demonstrate good communication/reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in English, with Kurdish or Arabic language skills as an added advantage.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
